Strategic online initiatives from the SuperBest

Back in 2008 SuperBest decided to develop a targeted strategy to identify the business potential of the chain on the internet. A team from SuperBest and eCapacity developed a strategy and business plan that led to the decision to strengthen the chain’s market position, with a nationwide online supermarket.

SuperBest is pursuing an ambitious strategy that allows internet customers the best possible experience – from the visit to a market-leading online shop to the delivery at the customer. The purpose is to serve customers in the channel they prefer – in one of the the approx. 220 stores or online. Thus you can order before midnight on the internet and have it delivered the next day across the country.

eCapacity can take great credit in the launch of SuperBest Online. In SuperBest we are merchants, and at the project startup we had no online capabilities in the organisation. eCapacity have throughout the project given the necessary boost in knowledge and competence, where it has been necessary – and it’s always been in a super professional and timely manner “says Claus Stenholt, Online Director at SuperBest.

eCapacity have been there from the beginning to the realization of the the project and has worked closely with SuperBest online director and online team. eCapacity have particular been involved in:

1: Business plan and strategy

Development of business plan and strategy up until the management and the Board has decided to implement the online strategy.

2: Tender management and vendor selection

Conceptualisation of the online shop and preparation of tender documents for design, web platform and logistics.

3: Project management and coordination

During the whole implementation project eCapacity have acted as counselor and coordinator across the various tracks in the implementation phase. From the technical implementation, to logistics and closed user tests of the the solution.

4: Online marketing

Up to the launch eCapacity have planned and implemented search engine advertising and search engine optimisation for the new webshop.
